Financing
There are different ways of financing training. It all depends on your status.
- Under 26s, or
- Jobseekers, or
- Intermittents du spectacle, or
- Affiliated with the Maison des Artistes, or
- Self-employed, or
- Employees on fixed-term or permanent contracts,
have access to financing.
How to finance your training?
You are under 26
Once you have chosen your course and training organization, you must :
Contacter « la mission locale » de votre région.
It will help you finance your training.
You are a job seeker
Once you have chosen your course and training organization, you must :
1 - Send your jobseeker number to the training organization. This will enable them to send the estimate, program, duration, dates and any other information to your Pôle-Emploi space via the KAIROS platform. This is the official procedure that Pôle-Emploi requires of training organizations.
Once the training organization has sent you the estimate in your Pôle-Emploi space (they usually contact you to let you know), you must :
2 - Return to your Pôle-Emploi space and validate the quote request. This does not commit you to the training organization if Pôle-Emploi refuses funding. If Pôle-Emploi does not finance the training, this will simply cancel your place on the course. You won't have to finance the course yourself, unless you want to. So there's no need to worry or hesitate about validating the quote request in your Pôle-Emploi space.
3 - Then contact your Pôle-Emploi advisor to inform him or her that you have just validated a quote request in your space and are awaiting their approval.
Pôle-Emploi will contact you to give you a positive or negative answer to your financing request.
If Pôle-Emploi refuses funding, your training will be cancelled. You won't have to pay anything.
You are an intermittent performer or affiliated to the Maison des Artistes (MDA).
Intermittents du spectacle and people affiliated to the Maison des Artistes share the same funding body:Afdas.
However, there are 2 different files: Intermittent du spectacle and Maison des artistes.
The training organization has to fill in part of the application form, and you have to fill in yours as well. Once the file is completed, you or the organization sends it to Afdas.
Please note that Afdas needs a minimum of 4 weeks to analyze your request for financing between the date your application is sent and the date your training begins. After this time, your application will inevitably be rejected. Training organizations know this, and will suggest a suitable date to avoid this situation.
To obtain training funding from Afdas, you must have at least 2 years' seniority as an intermittent performer or with the Maison des Artistes.
You are an auto-entrepreneur
The financing organization for auto-entrepreneurs is:AGEFICE or FIFPL. (It depends on your APE code).
Pour faire une demande de financement vous avez un dossier “AGEFICE” ou « FIFPL » que l’organisme de formation vous donnera à remplir.
Please note:applications should be sent at least 4 weeks before the start of the course.
You can visit the AGEFICE website here.
You have a fixed-term or permanent contract
You need to get in touch with your HR department or employer to present the program and the cost estimate, and find out whether or not the company you work for will finance the training.
Companies generally contribute to an OPCO. This contribution is a training budget reserved for company employees.
It's best if the training is linked to the skills required by the company you're working for.
You are a job seeker with a recognized disability
Contact your Pôle-Emploi advisor, who will put you in touch with Cap-Emploi. Cap-Emploi will take charge of your application.
However, you'll need to follow the same steps as a job seeker. (See above.)
