I took the "Introduction to Blender 3D" course at Artwork-VFX in March 2023, with trainer Stéphane Biava, and via my CPF account. Stéphane taught us tons about 3D modeling and Blender's possibilities! I advise you to prepare a ( very ) large notebook to take notes, because your brain alone won't retain everything, the training was very dense. Stéphane is a real pro at 3D modeling, and taught us what to do, and what not to do (3D "by the book", as he puts it.) The course consisted of 2 hours of distance learning in the morning, with headset, and exercises in the afternoon, over 3 weeks (15 full days). The group was cool, and it was a pleasure to discover each other's exercises every morning. The best training of my life by far. It may sound a bit exaggerated when you say it like that, but it's true, so I have to say it!

I'm very happy with this course. To complement my basic 3D artist profile in 2D and creativity, I was looking for a course that didn't focus on software, but rather on the creative process and composition. Aymeric, a very good concept artist and teacher, adapted very well to my expectations and objectives. The exercises with corrections the following day were very effective. The third week was a little lighter in terms of class hours to allow me to concentrate on a longer exercise. It's very satisfying to see your progress as the days go by.

A complete training course, we saw the loop from maya to substance designer then to painter to return to maya for the final rendering stage.

With this training I now have the skills to use the basic tools of 3DS MAX. Although the course doesn't deal much with motion design or RIG character animation, I'm pleased with what I've learned about modeling, textures, lighting, cameras and rendering parameters.

The Unreal AR/VR training course I took was exclusively about shading/lighting on Unreal Engine and not at all about AR/VR tools. It was a big disappointment for me. However, as the trainer was very well versed in shading/lighting, I feel that I benefited from a good grounding in this field. He pushed us a bit and I think I made a lot of progress in a short space of time. It gave me the tools I'll need for my job at France Télévisions. However, it was vaguely agreed that our trainer would provide us with documentation on Unreal's AR/VR tools, but he didn't follow up. In short, this course should have been entitled "Lighting/Shading in Unreal Engine" and nothing else. Our trainer didn't have any course material (so we had to model everything, which wasted a bit of time for those who, like me, weren't comfortable with modeling). His program was a bit disjointed. However, he answered all our questions and we were able to tackle some rather complex issues. As the trainer had complicated availability times, we were often left to our own devices. I'm very disappointed that we didn't get to talk about AR/VR. But I'm very happy with my new lighting/shading skills.

A good introduction to the Unreal Engine. A very pleasant course to follow, but unfortunately too short: the 2 weeks at a rate of 2 hours per day seems to me a little short to be able to really go into depth on such a dense and complete software. A very good trainer nonetheless, and an interesting course for acquiring a good first solid foundation!

Positive points: - very competent trainer in his field, with real production experience - small group, so training can almost be likened to one-to-one tuition - basic knowledge of the tool acquired - lots of production-oriented tips and tricks from our trainer Negative points: - only 20 hours, i.e. 2 hours per day, which is very/too short. The rest of the time, we're left to our own devices ... despite the fact that our trainer tried to make himself available to troubleshoot any problems we encountered - training sometimes not structured enough, but this is very much a consequence of the 1st point, as the trainer was forced to move rather quickly in the end.

Very good training to discover the basic principles of Nuke and composition. Everything is covered in detail, and live practice gives you a good grasp of the software and composition issues. I recommend it for beginners.

Good training for those with no basic knowledge of compositing and 3D. But you feel the limits of your knowledge as the questions become more precise and complex. It's perfect for beginners, but not really suited to image professionals who want to learn new software.

Excellent ZBrush training. Nicolas was clear and to the point in his explanations, the program enabled us to approach the software in its entirety and it was great to be able to interrupt the trainer every 30 seconds with a stupid question.

Nicolas enabled us to be autonomous on Zbrush in 10 days, which is remarkable. Super patient, dedicated and with an orderly, clear teaching program. I recommend this course without hesitation.

Excellent training of a RARE QUALITY! The instructors complement each other and are very pedagogical with methods specific to their own way of doing things. The courses on offer focus on concept design, with a complete review and/or apprenticeship in volumes, perspective, color dynamics, anatomy and so on...Concept art modules such as the creation of characters, vehicles and landscapes are also on the program. It's an exciting but intensive course that requires a certain basic knowledge of Photoshop. A 2-hour course is a bit tight, especially when the exercise requires a GOOD correction the next day. However, Adrien Amilhat and Gary Sanchez are passionate about what they do, and didn't hesitate to answer questions and provide additional information outside the theoretical lessons. Many thanks to them and to Artwork-vfx!

Very good training with two excellent instructors, each with his own approach and complementary to each other. The revisions on the academic basics of drawing were very useful, and we were able to tackle different approaches to concept art, on different themes (character, environment, vehicle...). However, sometimes 2 hours is a bit short for a lesson + correction of the previous exercise. We regularly exceeded this time. Many thanks again to both instructors, and to Artwork VFX!

I learned everything I wanted to learn, so the objective was achieved. The trainer is competent and friendly, and the two weeks of training went well. On the negative side, the demonstrations were sometimes messy (you talk about an effect, then change the subject and finish by making another object) and some exercises were too complex and long for the time I could spend on them (say 5 hours a day, but sometimes more), which once or twice left me feeling overwhelmed. Apart from these two details, he's punctual, good-humored, patient, answers every question and has adapted to the requests I had. Very available all day and even in the evening to guide me in improving the visuals.

The trainer was very kind, educational and quite competent. The course syllabus was fairly comprehensive, but unfortunately I found several important modules missing, such as Arraymesh and Zmodeler, which we barely skimmed. It's also very difficult to correct the exercises and follow the program all in two hours. An extra hour of theory per day would have been perfect and necessary. Luckily there were only two of us, otherwise it wouldn't have worked to fully learn the basics of Zbrush. Best regards.

Excellent training on the software and its logic, it makes you want to learn more and the training gives you the means to do it yourself (with time and determination). Perhaps the only criticism to make is that the course is a little short to cover all the concepts, understand them and ask questions. I recommend it for those who want to get started, but having some basic knowledge of 3D isn't a bad thing when the pace quickens at the end of the course.
